Big Brothers Big Sisters invites all dads and their daughters to the sixth annual Father Daughter Ball.

The event is Friday, June 13, at Rock Bridge’s Stage 123 in downtown Dalton. Event sponsors are Zaxby’s of Dalton, Engineered Floors, Bryan and Donna Hair, Northwest Carpets and more. The ball is intended to strengthen the most important relationship between a father and daughter while benefiting the programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Georgia Mountains. Fathers and daughters of all ages are welcome.Father Daughter

During the event, there will be dinner, dancing, games, horse and carriage rides, and other activities.

Guests will also have the opportunity to participate in the event’s raffle and silent auction. Some of the items up for auction and raffle are Walt Disney World tickets, University of Georgia football tickets, Atlanta Braves baseball tickets, a Hilton Head vacation, other weekend getaways, golf certificates, certificates to local eateries, art and other items.

Though the main event is for fathers and daughters, there will be a “Mommy Preview” from 4 to 6 p.m. the day of the event. Moms may drop by during this time and participate in the auction and raffle. The preview is included in the entry fee.

Funds raised during the ball are used to continue the services provided by Big Brothers Big Sisters’ community and site-based programs. In 2012, more than 750 local children were served through these programs.

Reservations may be made by calling (706) 278-0702 or by visiting bbbsball.kintera.org. The entry fee is $60 per couple and $15 for each additional child.
